2018 Women's Faculty Council $500-$1,000 Student Research Awards

Featuring research and scholarship by OSU students. Previous awardees are ineligible.

Amount: $500 - $1,000

Application Deadline: 5:00 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018.

Eligibility criteria:

  • current OSU undergraduate and graduate students in all fields are eligible, including 2018 graduates
  • work must have been conducted at OSU
  • complete projects and works in progress will be considered
  • applicant must be the sole or primary author
  • summaries of research for theses, dissertations, course projects and creative works are acceptable

Kurt Budke Scholarship

The Kurt Budke Scholarship was formed in memory of Kurt Budke, the head women's basketball coach at Oklahoma State University killed in a plane crash in 2011. It is currently managed by the Greater Salina Community Foundation (GSCF), in Kurt's hometown of Salina, KS.

Amount: $1,000

Application Deadline: Application must be submitted by March 1, 2018.

Eligibility criteria:

  • be a full-time undergraduate or masters student currently attending OSU, Washburn University, Wichita State University or Lousiana Tech University to receive the scholarship
  • demonstrate financial need
  • demonstrate leadership
  • have a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • submit one reference letter
  • complete and submit essay on why leadership is important and what kind of leader you aspire to be

Laverne Noyes Scholarship

Amount: Varies

Application Deadline: Complete and submit the application and supporting documents by Friday, March 16, 2018.

Eligibility criteria:

  • All required documents listed below must be received in the OSU Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid by close of business on March 16, 2018.
  • Complete and submit the attached application.
  • Submit a current high school transcript if your highest level completed is high school.
  • Submit your most recent college transcript if you have attended college.
  • Submit the documentation of lineage, including grandparent's World War I enlistment and discharge papers and all required birth certificates.
  • Certified/notarized copies will be accepted if the following is indicated: "This is a true and exact copy of the original."
  • Complete and submit the Application



Desk and Derrick Educational Trust Scholarships

The Desk and Derrick Educational Trust (ET) was created in 1982 by the Association of Desk and Derrick Clubs (ADDC) for the purpose of awarding annual scholarships to students attending accredited colleges and universities offering degrees in geology, chemical and petroleum engineering.

Amount: 10-15 scholarships awarded annually ranging from $1,000 to $4,000

Application Deadline: April 1, 2018

Eligibility criteria:

  • seeking a degree in a field related to the petroleum, energy or allied industries
  • overall GPA of 3.20 or higher
  • citizen of the United States or Canada
  • completion of 2 years of undergraduate studies
  • enrolled full-time
  • demonstrate financial need

iModules Scholarship

iModules Software, Inc. is the website host of the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association. The company offers scholarships to students of all of its higher education clients.

Amount: $1,500

Application Deadline: April 1, 2018

Eligibility criteria:

  • be a full-time OSU-Stillwater student for the Fall 2018 semester
  • have a minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA

Oklahoma Women in Higher Education Debbie Blanke Scholarship

Oklahoma Women in Higher Education (OKWHE)is dedicated to increasing the number and effectiveness of women in Oklahoma higher education leadership.

Amount: $500

Application Deadline: April 30, 2018

Eligibility Criteria:

  • enrolled as a graduate student in a higher education related degree program
  • already attended at least one OKWHE conference

Preference Given to Applicants who have:

  • earned at least 12 credit hours toward a graduate degree
  • worked at least 3 years in a higher education institution; and
  • intend to pursue a career in higher education
