A student must be a citizen or eligible noncitizen to receive aid from the Federal Student Aid programs. The general requirement for eligible noncitizens is that they be in the U.S. for other than a temporary purĀpose with the intention of becoming a citizen or lawful permanent resiĀdent, as evidenced by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

OSU has limited scholarship opportunities available for international students. By completing the admissions application, you will automatically be considered for the following scholarships:

  • Nonresident Achievement Scholarship
  • Transfer Nonresident Achievement Scholarship
  • Alumni Legacy Scholarship (additional form required)

Contact your Academic College and Office of International Students and Scholars (ISS) for other opportunities that may be available.
