Non-degree students
To be considered for federal assistance, students must be enrolled in a recognized academic program leading to a degree. There are some exceptions for which you may be eligible.
Prerequisite coursework
Even though you are non-degree seeking, you may still qualify for financial aid. Look over the requirements and restrictions and see if you fit into this category.
Teacher certificate program
If you are taking coursework towards teacher certification, you may qualify for financial aid. Review the criteria and see if it will work for you.
Undergraduate & graduate certificate programs
Only certain undergraduate and graduate certificate programs are eligible for financial aid. Check out the list and determine if your certificate is listed.
Financial aid deadline

The FAFSA application opens October 1 for the following academic year. We recommend filling it out as soon as possible.
